National Language Policy Partnership

Representatives of the National Language Policy Partnership have been announced. The partnership includes five Coalition of the Peaks (CoP) members and five community language advocates who can provide a national perspective that is well-grounded in community language activities. The representatives are Beau Williams (First Languages Australia), Heather Sculthorpe (Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre), Vicki Couzens (Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages), Karen Paterson (First Nations Media), Karina Lester (Mobile Language Team), Gulwanyang Moran (Birrbay and Dhanggati), Samantha Armstrong (Itjantjatjarra, Yankunytjatjara, Luritja and Martutjarra), Leitha Assan (Badhu ipikaz), Patsy Ngalu Bedford (Bunuba), and Daryn McKenny (Gamilaraay and Wiradjuri). Together we look forward to strengthening the national voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander language policy.
