New Staff
We are pleased to welcome Kathryn Gledhill-Tucker and Philip Winzer to the First Languages Australia team.
Kathryn is a Nyungar technologist and digital rights activist. They have a creative practice writing speculative fiction and sit on the board of the Overland Literary Journal. With a decade of experience in the technology sector, Kathryn has joined First Languages Australia to lead our national data and collections work, and support the evaluation of projects across the organisation and Language Policy Partnership.
Philip is a Ngarabul and Wirrayaraay Murri with a longstanding passion for language and cultural revitalisation and a background in community organising and campaigning to protect the rights of community and Country. Having worked to revive, learn and teach Ngarabul language for over a decade, Philip understands the effort, commitment and engagement required to increase the number of language speakers. Philip has joined the First Languages Australia team as a Policy Advisor to the Languages Policy Partnership.
