Beau Williams, Annalee Little and Jillian Bowie travelled to Thursday Island for the Torres Strait Islander Language Symposium which was held in June. Beau gave the keynote presentation, talking about First Languages Australia, the Languages Policy Partnership and the national work underway, while Jillian and Annalee ran workshops on Junyirri: A framework for planning community language projects.

We have been invited back to Zenadth Kes to facilitate a series of longer community language planning and capacity building sessions in the coming months.
