Illustration of Practice for the Framework of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages

The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA has been collaborating with language custodians and schools to publish three illustrations of practice to give examples of the ways that different schools are developing and implementing a local Aboriginal language curriculum.

The first illustration, produced with Leigh Creek Area School, includes wonderful short videos, curriculum connections, example units and lesson plans.

The materials are freely available to any schools and communities interested in working together to offer a local language curriculum. First Languages Australia congratulate ACARA, Leigh Creek Area School and the Adnyamathanha community on this excellent resource.
